Lift On/Lift Off (LOLO) is a standard terminal handling service provided at Singapore’s container terminals. The term refers to the movement of a container between the vessel and the terminal yard using a quay crane.
Whenever a container is:
- Lifted off a vessel upon arrival, or
- Lifted on a vessel for export,
PSA Singapore performs the operation using specialized container cranes, and a LOLO charge is incurred for the handling service. These charges are part of the overall terminal handling costs associated with containerized sea freight.
Current PSA LOLO Charges
The following PSA LOLO charges (effective 1 July 2023) apply to standard import and export containers (excluding transshipment and re-export containers):
| Container Type | Laden Container | Empty Container |
|---|---|---|
| 20ft | S$63.25 | S$23.00 |
| 40ft / 40HC | S$94.75 | S$34.50 |
Note: These charges are subject to revision by PSA from time to time. Freight forwarders and shipping lines will normally update customers whenever PSA announces changes.
